A Father’s Wish

I received a special request last week to allow a student to take his exam early before the holiday break and more over, before his test prep was completed. I generally don’t allow these requests because I want to make sure the students are fully prepared but this one got to me…. Adam wanted to take his exam early because his father is terminally ill and wasn’t expected to live through the weekend. His father had cosigned for his son to attend and Adam wanted to make sure his father knew was well on his way to success. Adam passed his exam, he told his instructor his father smiled (he isn’t able to speak anymore).
They know his father isn’t going to make it out of hospital, but Adam is still in class today. It was his Father’s Wish. The power of a parent’s love and support is truly amazing….
