The technical training offered at PC Pro Schools gives students the competitive edge needed to succeed in the IT industry. The blended learning program at PC Pro combines online lectures and in-class labs to prepare students for a fast-paced job in IT. Students have the flexibility of logging in from home to watch the required online video lectures. Timothy Heller, a PC Pro graduate, compared the online lectures to having a one-on-one tutor. He explains that he particularly enjoyed the option of watching and re-watching videos, which allowed him to learn at his own pace. Blended learning also includes a technical classroom lab. Once a week, students are required to visit campus and put their new skills into motion. The in-class labs at the PC Pro Schools are designed to give students the opportunity to experience any number of real-life problems that can occur in the workplace, first-hand.
Employers in every industry know that PC Pro Schools students and graduates posses the IT skills needed to be a valuable asset to their businesses. The career services team at PC Pro works directly with IT recruiters and companies from all industries because they know from experience that PC Pro students have the ability to thrive as employees and exceed expectations in a world of technology.
Larry Bain, a successful IT Professional discusses his computer company and his experience with PC Pro graduates he’s hired. “I run a computer repair business called Larry R. Bain, LLC. Most of my work is done on personal PCs in a customer’s home. I also subcontract for Dell and Staples in southeast Wisconsin to do computer installation and repair.
At Larry R. Bain, LLC, PC Pro Schools graduates have filled positions as Computer Technicians. The jobs they are called upon to are repairs or installations in a customer’s personal residence. There may be one job in a month or there may be 3 jobs in a day. Every job is different. We never really know what the situation is until we arrive at the job site.
So far, I have hired 4 PC Pro Students. They have all been eager to use their training and have been able to operate with no supervision. I am pleased that the graduates are able to handle the customer’s emotions and can explain in layman’s terms what they are doing.”

Erin, the Career Advisor for our Minnesota Campus, just received this email today from one of our students…. This is why we work so hard to make dreams come true! How could we not with such awesome, appreciative students!
Good afternoon Erin.
would like to say thank you for maintaining a high level of support for my interests. It is clear to me that you take your career seriously, as well as my potential seriously. You and Mr. Dave Kofler have been fundamental in my pursuit of happiness, and I am undoubtably grateful to have the opportunity to work with you. I have a lot vested in the program. I am 34 years of age, and I can appreciate the high level of support which has been offered. There is much more to me than being apt in a technical career, and I am hopeful it’s taken into consideration. It’s individuals such as you, which makes me know I’m with the right group. Hope your weekend goes well, and I look forward towards Monday. Thanks again, Chris.
Happy Friday!!! I love our school!

I have always felt that when students enroll at PC ProSchools they are becoming part of our family. But it doesn’t stop with the students. We keep in touch with their families too. I can’t tell you how many calls and emails I get from parents, wives, husbands, grown children and grandparents regarding the progress of their loved one! Here’s a response I got today after I sent him an update on the progress on his son!
I am happy to hear that the school is so successful at providing companies with qualified students. Myself and several other experienced IT people I know don’t even get phone calls so I am glad to see activity in the industry.
Laura is experiencing the same situation we sometimes so with S. He is a smart dedicated individual, but lacks in his timing of providing information, which is why I am consulting with you one his progress. He always makes good decisions and does them for the right reasons but needs to communicate better. I am working with him on this and he is beginning to mature in this area.
He did have an exceptional softball year. It sounds like just a game, but he plays at a level that requires commitment. He traveled throughout the year, and as actually in Minnesota now and goes to Florida next weekend. If he were to progress to the next level he would get paid to play, which is unusual for some his age. He has also been on mandatory overtime for a year and a half where he works, so between school, work and softball he has been a busy person.
I would like to thank you and your staff for the dedication you provided S.and latitude that allowed him to try to balance the three areas of his life. He and I recently talked and he is eager to pursue his new career.
I would definitely recommend that parties to take a look at your program if they are interested in a career in IT.
Best success,
Jun

Hello,
I just wanted to send out this Email to let you know what a wonderful job the school staff does for its students. I graduated and landed my first IT job in May 2010, Why, because of the teachers and support staff at PC Pro schools. I went to school with the dream of turning my life around and it happened, I am working for the state of MN and LOVING my new career.
The people I work with are great and the job itself is better than I had hoped my salary is more than 10,000 dollars over what I used to make in the retail environment as management. I will never forget the people and School that made this all possible for me.
THANK YOU ALL FOR EVERYTHING!!!!

I love this!!! What an impact we are making on this family. Her 26 year old son started a couple months ago and is doing great. He has a 3.71 GPA and is a shining star in class. Now her 27 daughter just enrolled! This mom knows the value of education and certifications. Neither went to college after high school and found themselves in jobs that just didn’t offer them the salary and potential they had hoped, nor that she wanted for them. Well, now they are on track for success and this mom couldn’t be more proud!
Yeah….done!!!!! Now you have 2 of my kids in your school. I might have to give a great by Thank you someday for getting them educated, motivated and independent. I am looking forward to it!
Have a great weekend. You deserve it.

OMG!!! <—-I wish you could see the excitement, I was a little sleepy during class cause I just came off a long day at work but it was a great time. I like the way Jason teaches, he’s not afraid to just go with the flow, go on tangents about important stuff, tell stories, and make jokes. This is what I been looking for in a teacher. Thank You for all your help Roz I really appreciate it.
And
I’m sure that this will work out just fine.
Thanks Again,
Billy

Hello Erin,
I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for the words of encouragement.
You’ve probably heard from many students how challenging it can be to balance work with school and life in general. For some it may come easy but for others, such as myself, it is quite a challenge. Everyone I’ve been in contact with at PC ProSchools has been nothing but supportive. Kate sat and spoke with me the day of my orientation and encouraged me from the start!
She spoke to me like a friend. She kept a professional presence and was down to earth and easy to communicate with. My academic advisor, Nicole has been very encouraging and helpful as well. And I can’t forget Jason, my instructor. He’s thorough and teaches in a way that is easy to understand.
He’s always willing to help out and review things that the class needs to cover again.
So to everyone at PC Pro that has played a part in my success thus far, thank you so much!
Sincerely,
Colleen Cronkleton, MCP
