New Year! New Starts!

Published by pcpro under Student Appreciation

Tom is an amazing man! He had not been working for several years to raise his sons including one with extreme special needs which consumed the majority of his time. His son passed away and while his heart was breaking he knew he know had time to start a new career and focus on himself. He started classes this fall and just passed his first exam. I am so proud of him and know he is well on his way to a new start for the New Year!

Thank You!!! I appreciate the encouragement and the opportunity you’ve given me!

Happy New Year,
Tom

Light at the end of the tunnel….

Published by pcpro under Student Appreciation

I just got this email from one of our academic advisors who enrolled a student that had a good job but just wasn’t satisfied. Going back to school can be a difficult decision for someone whose life is good and the thought of adding another activity into a busy schedule can be trying! Everything happens for a reason though…….I do love when things fall into place. Good things happen to good people!

Hi Kate, I wanted to let you know that Mick just called me. He wanted to thank all of us for working on getting him enrolled. His purpose for enrolling was to become more marketable, as he would want eventually want to get a new career. This week he was laid-off from his current position!!!! He told me his “pivot point” was getting the survey from me. After meeting with him I was having difficulty getting him back in until he was awarded his scholarships to make his financing option more obtainable.

Kate, he wants to thank all of us for our efforts in getting him enrolled. He just lost his job but I spoke to an excited and optimistic man that sees that the light at the end of the tunnel is not the headlight of an oncoming train!!!!

Not Just a Job… The DREAM Job

Published by pcpro under Student Appreciation

Here is a letter from one of our graduates, Jennilyn about Aleks, one of our Career Specialists. Aleks helped Jennilyn find a position at Capitol Bank Corp. in Phoenix, AZ.
“Aleksandra works with students at my school to help us find our first job in the IT industry. Aleksandra didn’t just help me find my first job, she stuck with me until I found my dream job. She listened to what I was looking for in a company and found me openings that matched my aspirations. She talked me through every step of the interview process and all the waiting in between. Now I can’t wait to go to work in the morning, and I have Aleksandra to thank!”

Our Instructors Get High Remarks

Published by pcpro under Student Appreciation

LinkedIn Recommendations

Jennilyn Nichols has endorsed your work as Lead Instructor at PC ProSchools.

Details of the Recommendation: “Andrew was my instructor at PC ProSchools. Every class session was informative, inspiring, and entertaining, despite his consistently, over-burdened schedule. He didn’t just teach us what was in the text book, he taught us what we needed to know to do our jobs, and some things that one could only learn through trial and error. He required each of us to do our best, and always called me out when I wasn’t giving it 100 percent. Andrew made himself available to us before class, after class, and on our days off with extra lab assignments or just answers to our questions. He gave back to us every bit that we were willing to put in. Andrew was a phenomenal instructor, and with his help I passed all of my certifications on my first attempt.”

With Love from Grand Rapids

I just got this email from Diana, one of our Academic Advisors in Grand Rapids. As they work passionately on the behalf of the prospective students, they rarely get this personal gratitude at the end of the story…
I would like to take the opportunity to share with you what a former student of mine and Dan Lloyd’s just did today. Willy Wildt called and personally thanked Dan and I for our hard work getting him through our program. He said it was because we truly care about what we do and say to our students here on the Grand Rapids campus. He was going through some rough times when he graduated from his class track 407, but he kept his chin up and looked forward and now he just was offered a job at his company Stryker, Inc. He is now the head of the Help Desk Department! This was one of our outstanding classes they graduated at 100%! EVERY single student graduated!!!
He wants to come in and speak to our classes and even at the graduation! How about that! This is why I do what I do and when you listen to your prospects look at the results that happen. I am so touched by this as Dan is too!

Subject: How are things?

Hey guys,

I was rebuilding the OS on a workstation yesterday when I had a little reminder of my days at PcPro so I thought I’d drop you guys a line and see how everyone is doing. Things are still awesome here in Waupaca. I’m attaching some pictures….. one of these days I’ll have some time to study and take the next exam….but I’m learning just as much on the job so I’m not in too much of a hurry…..though I should probably stop slacking and get my next raise by passing that exam.

When is the date of graduation? Am I still on as a speaker? I want to start preparing what I’m going to say….so let me know please. Other than that…nothing too exciting except waiting to see how bad the confikker virus is going to hit our customers tomorrow….I have a feeling it’s more hype that danger…..but time will tell.

Sincerely,

Jeff

Now…on to my favorite part…the pictures!

My “press release” picture……lol.

My cube……highly organized…or not. Notice random bits of hardware, memory, Microsoft books, and of course…Diet Dew!

Our server room……we recently shrunk from 3 racks to 2 after upgrading to a blade server chassis….hopefully by next year we’ll be down to

My Microsoft certs hanging proudly on the wall……

Hello,

It has been just about 1 year since I’ve graduated from PC Pro School. I thought I would tell you how and what I’ve been doing. I was an intern for Milwaukee County for 6 months. I am the first intern to be hired on as a contractor after only doing one internship. I am now a contractor for Milwaukee County hired through Velocity Partners. I do Desktop Support for the West Side of Milwaukee County. I just want to say “Thank you” if you hadn’t of pushed me I don’t think I would be where I am.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

YOUR FORMER STUDENT,

STEPHANIE P.

Thank you for the Thank you!

We have recently been interviewing for an open assistant instructor position and I was so impressed with the candidates…. all of them PC ProSchools grads or soon to be grads. I got the following thank you note from one of the candidates that unfortunately won’t be taking the position and is graduating later this month. It made me proud to see how unbelievably professional he is! What awesome students we have!!!

“Kate,

I wanted to thank you for the recommendation and taking the time to interview me for the TA position. Unfortunately after speaking with Dale the hours for the position conflicted with my current situation. Regardless I took away an invaluable experience as well as a new found appreciation for an initial and technical interview. The experience and knowledge that I gained from the interview process given to me by you and Dale will help me improve my interviewing skills for future interviews with potential employers, for that I am grateful. Again, thank you for the opportunity.

Sincerely,

S. Kern-MCP, MCDST, SCA”
